Compliance at Cryptorefills

Last update: October 21st, 2026

This page explains who operates Cryptorefills, what kind of business it is, and how we handle customer verification, sanctions and complaints. The Terms of service and Privacy policy are the binding documents. If anything here differs from them, the Terms of service apply.

Who operates Cryptorefills

Cryptorefills is operated by Big Dream Ventures B.V., a Dutch private limited company (besloten vennootschap) with its registered address at Keizersgracht 482, 1017 EG Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

  • Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 63338149
  • VAT number: NL855193062B01

What we are, and what we are not

Cryptorefills is a shop. We sell gift cards, mobile top ups, eSIMs and travel bookings, and we accept crypto as payment for them, the same way another shop accepts a card.

We do not provide custodial wallets or hold customer balances. There is nothing to deposit into and no wallet to open with us. Your crypto stays in your own wallet until you pay, and when you pay it goes from your wallet to a one-time payment address created for that order. Once the payment is confirmed, the order is complete. If a refund is due, we send it to a wallet address you give us.

Because we do not hold, transfer or exchange crypto or money on anyone's behalf, Cryptorefills is not a payment institution, an electronic money institution or a crypto-asset service provider, and is not licensed as one. Accepting crypto as payment for our own products is not a regulated crypto-asset service. Any conversion of the crypto we receive is done for our own account, after the sale.

For some payment methods, such as exchange pay buttons, a licensed payment provider processes the payment or acts as merchant of record. Their terms apply to that payment and are shown at checkout.

We do not provide financial, investment or legal advice.

What this means for you

  • Most purchases need just an email address. No account, no ID.
  • We ask for identity verification only above the spending limits in our Terms, or in rare cases where we suspect fraud.
  • We never ask for your private keys or seed phrase, and no page or email from us ever will.
  • We ask for the data an order needs and nothing more. The Privacy policy lists what we keep, who we share it with and for how long.

Customer verification and spending limits

We apply spending limits that depend on how much we know about the customer, so that most people are never asked for more than an email:

  • Email only. Buy with just an email address and no account, within the base limits.
  • Registered account. A verified email address unlocks higher limits.
  • Identity verification. A valid photo ID and a live photo unlock the highest limits.
Limits for gift cards, travel products and mobile top ups
TierPer dayPer monthPer purchase
Email only4.000 Euro5.000 EuroWithin the daily limit
Registered account5.000 Euro10.000 Euro2.000 Euro
Identity verification10.000 Euro30.000 Euro2.000 Euro

Lower limits apply to open-loop cards and to Bitcoin paid over the Lightning Network, and higher limits can be agreed case by case after identity verification. Clause 4 of the Terms of service has the full list and is the binding text. Where our fraud checks or the law require it, we may ask for additional information or verification and pause an account until it is complete. Creating several accounts to get around the limits is not allowed.

Sanctions and restricted use

Like any shop, we cannot sell to sanctioned persons or deliver into sanctioned destinations, and some products or destinations may be unavailable for that reason. Where we reasonably suspect a breach or the law requires it, we may refuse, suspend or cancel an order or restrict access. Customers are responsible for making sure that using Cryptorefills is lawful where they live.

Anti-money laundering and sanctions screening

Cryptorefills is a merchant: we sell digital products and services and accept crypto as payment for them. We do not provide custodial wallets or hold customer balances. Each payment is made for an individual purchase.

We apply risk-based measures to help prevent fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions violations. These include spending limits, identity verification where required, and screening of blockchain transactions with industry-standard analytics tools to identify potential sanctions exposure and links to illicit activity.

Where a transaction raises a compliance concern, we may delay or decline an order, ask for additional verification, or restrict access to our services. For legal and security reasons we may not always be able to explain these decisions in detail.

We keep relevant records and cooperate with the competent authorities in line with applicable laws and regulations.

Fraud and legal requests

We check orders for fraud, mainly to protect customers from stolen payment details and account takeovers. We share customer data with authorities only where the law requires it, such as in answer to a valid legal request.

Complaints

To make a complaint, write to support@cryptorefills.com with "Complaint" in the subject line, or use the contact form. We acknowledge complaints and aim to reply on the merits within 14 days. If you are not satisfied, ask for a review of the answer. Clause 3 of the Terms of service sets out the procedure, and your right to go to the competent court is not affected.

Personal data

How we collect and use personal data is in the Privacy policy, including how to exercise your rights and how to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
