Cryptorefills integrates X Layer for USDT and USDC payments

Users can now spend USDT and USDC on OKX's X Layer network on gift cards, mobile top-ups, eSIMs, flights and hotel bookings at Cryptorefills.

Amsterdam, August 19th 2026. Cryptorefills has enabled X Layer payments at checkout, allowing users to spend USDT and USDC held on OKX's layer 2 network across the full catalogue: gift cards, mobile top-ups, travel eSIMs, flights and hotel bookings. USDT support went live on July 21st, with USDC following on August 8th.

X Layer is OKX's Ethereum Layer 2 network, built on the OP Stack, EVM-equivalent and using OKB as its native gas token. The network reports 1-second block times, average fees around $0.0005 per transaction and more than 4 million addresses. USDT on X Layer is issued as USDT0, the omnichain deployment of Tether's USDT built on LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token standard and backed 1:1 by USDT locked on Ethereum. For Cryptorefills users the flow is unchanged: select USDT or USDC at checkout, choose X Layer as the network, and pay from any X Layer wallet, including directly from an OKX account.

X Layer becomes the 20th network live at Cryptorefills checkout, joining Base, Solana, Tron, Plasma and others on a platform that has run stablecoin and Bitcoin checkout since 2018.
