Claimed Season 2 and got USDC? Or holding GRASS? Here's how to cash out or spend it, swap in-app for zero gas, sell on Kraken for fiat, or pay directly at 6,600+ brands.
How to cash out GRASS token (and your Season 2 USDC airdrop)

Season 2 update (July 2026): Grass paid out its Season 2 rewards in USDC, not GRASS. Claims opened July 22, 2026 and stay open until January 22, 2027, after which unclaimed rewards are forfeited with no grace period. Claims run through the new in-app Grass wallet at app.grass.io. If you claimed Season 2, you're sitting on USDC, and cashing out is simpler than it used to be. More on that below.

So you've got GRASS. Maybe you earned it running a node, maybe you bought it, maybe you just claimed the Season 2 airdrop and found USDC in your wallet instead of tokens. Whatever got you here, the question is the same: how do you turn it into money you can actually use?

There are three ways to do it, and they're not equally good for everyone. Below they run from easiest to most involved. Pick the one that matches what you're holding and where you live.

Quick gut check before you start: if you claimed Season 2, you have USDC in a Grass wallet. If you earned or bought GRASS, you have the GRASS token, which you'll usually swap to USDC or USDT before cashing out. The path is slightly different depending on which one you've got.

Path A: Cash out inside the Grass wallet (easiest)

Grass launched a native wallet in July 2026, and for most people it's now the shortest route to money. It's created automatically with your account, secured by a passkey (your fingerprint, face unlock, or PIN), and runs on Solana. There's no app to install separately and no seed phrase to copy on day one.

Two things make it useful here. Swaps are gasless, so you can turn GRASS into USDC without holding any SOL for fees. And it plugs straight into MoonPay for fiat cash-outs.

If you're holding GRASS, swap it first:

  1. Open the Grass wallet and choose Swap.
  2. Set From to GRASS and To to USDC (or SOL).
  3. Enter an amount, or press MAX for your full balance.
  4. Press Quote, check the rate and slippage (Auto is fine for most people), and confirm with your passkey.

The network cost comes out of the token you're swapping, so you never need SOL sitting in the wallet. Quotes expire fast, within 30 seconds, so if yours lapses just pull a fresh one.

Then cash out to your bank, card, or Venmo:

  1. Go to Withdraw, then Sell Tokens on the Exchange.
  2. Pick the token (USDC, USDT, or SOL) and the amount.
  3. Complete the sale in the MoonPay window. The money can land on a card, Venmo, or PayPal, depending on what MoonPay supports in your region.

If an option is greyed out, MoonPay doesn't offer it where you are. That's the one real limitation of this path: availability is regional, and MoonPay's fees and rates aren't the best you'll find. For small amounts and speed, it's hard to beat. For larger sums, an exchange (Path B) often costs less.

Path B: Sell on an exchange for fiat

If you want a proper fiat withdrawal to your bank and you're moving a meaningful amount, a centralized exchange usually gives you a better rate than the in-app route.

GRASS trades on plenty of them, including Kraken, Coinbase, KuCoin, Bybit, Gate, MEXC, and OKX. What matters for cashing out is whether the exchange offers a direct fiat pair, because that saves you a conversion step. Kraken lists GRASS/USD and GRASS/EUR. Coinbase carries GRASS too. On either one the flow is straightforward:

  1. Deposit your GRASS to the exchange. Send it on the Solana network, and double-check the address, since a wrong-network transfer can't be recovered.
  2. Sell GRASS for fiat on the spot market (or convert to USDT first if there's no direct pair for your currency).
Withdraw the fiat to your bank. Timing varies by exchange and region, from same-day to a few business days.
  3. One honest caveat: this path requires full identity verification. Kraken and Coinbase both need KYC before you can withdraw fiat. If avoiding verification is the whole point for you, Path A or the spend-it-directly option further down will suit you better.

Path C: P2P and regional exchanges

If you're in a market where direct fiat pairs are thin, the Philippines being a good example, P2P is often the realistic way to reach your local currency.

On Bybit, Gate, or Bitget, convert GRASS to USDT on the spot market, then use the P2P desk to sell that USDT to a local buyer. In the Philippines that usually means settling through GCash, Maya, or a bank transfer. As a seller, wait until the payment actually lands before you release the crypto. That one habit prevents most P2P scams.

A word of caution on Bitget specifically: searching "grass" there can surface a memecoin called TouchGrass, which is a completely different asset from Grass the bandwidth network. Make sure you're on the real GRASS/USDT pair before you trade.

Skip the cash-out and just spend it

Here's the part a lot of guides gloss over. If you claimed a modest Season 2 payout, or you're holding a small GRASS bag, running it through an exchange and a bank withdrawal is a lot of friction for not much money. You lose a cut to fees at every hop, and you wait days for fiat you're only going to spend anyway.

Cryptorefills lets you skip all of that. Swap your GRASS to USDC in the Grass wallet (gasless, as covered above), send that USDC to a Solana wallet like Phantom, and spend it directly on things you'd buy with cash:

  • Gift cards for Amazon, Netflix, Spotify, Steam, PlayStation, and 6,600+ other brands
  • Mobile top-ups for carriers in 170+ countries
  • eSIMs for travel, handy if you're a digital nomad living off this stuff
  • Flights and hotel stays

No bank account, no P2P haggling, no waiting on a withdrawal to clear. If you're already on an exchange holding USDT or SOL instead, that works too. Withdraw it to your wallet and pay with whichever coin you've got.

How to buy with your GRASS (or USDC) at Cryptorefills

  1. Open Cryptorefills on your phone or desktop.
  2. Pick what you want (say a PayPal gift card).
  3. Add it to your cart and head to checkout.
  4. Choose your network and coin (for example, USDC on Solana), then continue to payment.

  5. Send the exact amount to the payment address shown.
  6. That's it. Once the network confirms your transaction, your product (the PayPal code, in this example) arrives by email and shows on screen.

How to withdraw and sell GRASS token to PHP, USD, or EUR

  1. Transfer to an exchange - Once claimed, send your GRASS tokens to a supported exchange that lists them such as Bitget or Gate.io.
  2. Sell using P2P or market trades - On Bitget, for example, convert GRASS to USDT (or USDC, SOL, BTC, ETH) via the spot market. Use P2P trading tools to exchange crypto for fiat using local payment methods.
  3. Direct bank withdrawal - Some regional exchanges like Bittime allow direct conversion from GRASS to USD, EUR, PHP or fiat in your bank account.

Important considerations

  • Transaction fees – Be aware of withdrawal and trading fees, which vary by exchange.
  • Market volatility – GRASS' price may fluctuate, so check the latest rates before selling.
  • Scam alerts – Only use official exchanges and avoid unauthorized platforms.

Frequently asked questions

  • USDC. Grass chose to distribute Stage 2 rewards as USDC rather than newly minted tokens, which the Foundation said was to reduce regulatory friction and let more users claim without delay. So if you claimed Season 2, you already hold a stablecoin and can skip the "sell GRASS" step entirely.
  • January 22, 2027. The window opened July 22, 2026 and runs six months. Anything unclaimed after the deadline is forfeited, with no grace period.
  • If you use the Grass wallet, none. Swaps there are gasless. If you're moving GRASS to an external wallet and then to an exchange, keep a small amount of SOL (well under 0.01 is usually plenty) to cover transfer fees.
  • Sometimes. Kraken offers GRASS/USD and GRASS/EUR, so those two are a direct sale. For most other currencies you'll convert GRASS to USDT first, then USDT to your local currency through the exchange or P2P.
  • The Solana transfer itself is nearly instant. Exchange deposit confirmations take a few minutes, MoonPay cash-outs a bit longer, and a bank settlement can take from same-day to a few business days depending on where you are.
