How much data is left on my eSIM, and when does it expire?
Your remaining data and expiry date are both in your account, per eSIM.
Checking your data balance
- Sign in and open My refills in your account.
- Find the eSIM you want to check under eSIMs.
- Select Check balance.
Check balance appears only on eSIMs bought on or after 20 July 2026, when the feature was added. Older eSIMs don't show the option, so contact us with your order ID if you need to know what's left on one.
The result shows the data remaining out of the package total, along with the date that data expires. Plans sold as unlimited show as unlimited data rather than a figure.
Two things can stop a figure appearing. Some eSIMs report no balance at all, and show balance not available for this eSIM. If the provider can't be reached at that moment, the check asks you to try again.
When a plan expires
- You have up to 365 days from purchase to activate a plan.
- The validity period starts the first time the eSIM connects in your destination country, not when you install it. Installing before you travel doesn't use up your validity.
Adding more data
Select Top up eSIM in My refills to add data to an eSIM you already have. Each eSIM only takes data for the country it was bought for, so a top-up with a plan for a different country arrives as a new eSIM instead of extending the one you have.
