How to redeem a Nintendo eShop card

Add the balance to your Nintendo account in three steps.

1. Claim and copy your code

After your purchase, copy the code shown on screen. If no code appears, click "Claim my gift card" and copy the card number.

2. Go to the Nintendo redeem page

Log in to your Nintendo account and go to the redeem page. Or open the Nintendo eShop and select "Redeem code".

3. Paste your code

Paste your code and tap Next. The balance is added to your Nintendo account instantly.

eShop credit vs Nintendo Switch Online

These are two different products. A Nintendo eShop card adds spendable credit you can use on any games or content. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is a subscription. Make sure you bought the one you need before redeeming. If your code doesn't work, see my gift card code isn't working.
