How to redeem a Steam gift card

You can add your Steam gift card to your Wallet in three steps.

1. Copy the gift card code

After completing your purchase, copy the code shown on screen.

2. Open Steam and go to your Wallet

Launch the Steam app, log in to your account, and select "Wallet".

3. Redeem the code

On the "Add Funds" page, select "Redeem a Steam gift card or wallet code". Paste your code and click Continue. The balance is added to your Steam Wallet.

Good to know

Steam gift cards are region-locked and can't be redeemed outside the country they were issued in, including through a VPN. The card currency must match your account currency. If your code is rejected, see my gift card code isn't working.
